Digital Music Production (Minor)
About the Program
The minor in digital music production is an interdisciplinary program that offers hands-on-experience in the increasingly relevant and sought after field of music technology. It provides students with a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of hardware and software tools for electronic music composition and performance as well as sound recording.

Admission Requirements
The minor is open to all students across campus, thus welcoming music majors and non-majors alike. The latter will have to meet the following pre-requisites to enter the program:
Either complete MUS 210 (Music Theory for non majors) or test out of MUS 230 (Music Theory I).
The enrollment cap is set at 14 students yearly. If the number of applications exceeds that cap, an additional eligibility criteria will take place in the form of a personal interview.
Career Information
The minor in DMP opens up a significant array of options, both professionally and academically, preparing students to enter the marketplace in the field of music recording and music production. The program also uniquely widens students' options for graduate studies in the area of electronic music composition and scoring for film and multimedia.
