University of Salamanca
Buffalo State and the University at Buffalo co-sponsor the Programa de Estudios Hispánicos. This summer program offers participants the opportunity to sample Spain's historical and artistic treasures and to earn six undergraduate or graduate credits in Spanish language and culture at University of Salamanca, Spain's oldest university. By staying with a Spanish family, students strengthen their language skills and experience Spanish culture firsthand.

Classes offered through Cursos Internacionales in July 2014

Classes are offered at four levels:

  1. Beginner
  2. Intermediate
  3. Advanced
  4. Proficiency

Classes are held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Literature Analysis
  • Translation into Spanish from English

  • Economics and Society in Current Spain
  • Conversation and Composition
  • Speaking Skills Practice

Hour 5 (choice of one)

  • Spanish Culture
  • Writing Skills Practice

Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, and adults with a cumulative average of at least 2.67.
