The faculty is young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and eager to accompany the students through this captivating adventure.

Daniela Sani Perozzi

Università degli Studi di Firenze: Degree in Modern and Classical Languages.
Certified teacher of Latin and Italian Literature. Longstanding experience in teaching. Having lived and worked in different countries (USA, UK, and Singapore) she has gained experience in dealing with different cultures and people.
Teacher of Italian in the Siena Program since 1987.
She has gained also the position of site Director of the program since 1999.

Barbara Latini

Università degli Studi di Siena: Degree in Modern Languages with specialization in Medieval Art History.
She has been the promoter of several projects for the Department of Tourism of the Siena City Hall and author of different publications among which the very first tourist guide of Siena for children. She is licensed tourist guide since 2008.
She has been instructor of Art and Architecture in Siena in the Siena Program since 1999.
She gained also the position as Assistant to the Director of the program since 2013.

Vittoria Baker

University of Edimburg: M.A. in Italian Language and Literature.
She is bilingual in Italian and English. She performed as official interpreter for the City Hall of Siena. Longstanding experience in teaching for which she authors her own text books.
Instructor of English at the University of Siena since 1990.
She has been Instructor of Italian in the Siena Program since 1986.

Barbara Bernardeschi

Università degli Studi di Siena: Degree in Languages and Literature with specialization in Italian, English and French.
Università degli Studi di Firenze: Master in French Literature Language and Teaching.
Teacher of English and French in elementary school and high school.
Instructor of Survey of Italian Literature and Dante for the Siena Program since 2007.

Salvatore De Lio

Università degli Studi di Siena: Degree in Economics and Banking.
Professional sommelier since 2004. Wine consultant for Italian hotels and restaurants.
Commissioner during National and International Oenological competition recognized by the Ministery of Agrifood. Lecturer for wine tasting classes and gastronomic courses.
Director of the Enoteca Italiana since 2007.
Instructor of the course Wine Essential in the Siena Program from 2013.

Franca Marini

Franca Marini is a Sienese-born international artist. She pursued her artistic academic studies at the Istituto Statale d'Arte Duccio di Buoninsegna in Siena (1977-82) and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence (1982-86), followed by studies in painting at the San Francisco Art Institute (1989-90). She lived and worked as a professional artist in San Francisco and in New York for over 10 years where in 1998 she was awarded a fellowship for painting from the New York Foundation for the Arts. She has also carried out public art commissions.
Instructor of the course Painting in Siena in the Siena program since 1999.

Elena Monami

Università per Stranieri di Siena: PhD in Linguistics and Teaching Methodology
Università degli Studi di Siena Master Degree in Italian Literature and History.
Her research interests and activities and publications cover the fields of teaching methodology for teachers of Italian as a second and foreign language.
Lecturer of Italian and Italian Culture for the Università per Stranieri di Siena since 1998.
Instructor of Italian History and Civilization for the Siena Program since 2011.

Monica Putti

Degree at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze with specialization in painting and ceramics.
She teaches ceramics at the Istituto d'Arte – Liceo Artistico "Duccio di Buoninsegna" di Siena since 1987. She participated in exhibitions and events organized by cultural associations.
She contributed to the the realization of several decorative installations throughout the city.
Instructor of Ceramics for the Siena Program since 2006.

Massimo Sollazzini

Università degli Studi di Siena: Bachelor Degree in Political Science.
Longstanding professional experience in Communication and Media relations manager. He has been among the promoter and organizers of special events for tourism and restauration in cooperation with public local institutions. He is a professional journalist since 1992.
Instructor of Hospitality Marketing for the Siena program from 2013.
