The Bengal 5K:

The 16th Annual Bengal 5K Run is quickly approaching (Saturday, April 6th, 2013) and we are in need of volunteers to help out in various ways! Anyone interested in volunteering, can sign up for available positions at the following link:

*Volunteers are provided breakfast and a t-shirt, in addition to being granted access to the post-race party*

The Bengal 5K is hosted by the Buffalo State Alumni Association and all net proceeds will benefit two magnificent scholarships – the Legacy Scholarship and Military Service Scholarship Fund.

If any of your groups are interested please have them contact me with their email so I can add them to the group. I will be communicating with volunteers through the FB group and email. Here are the Take Back the Night 2013 logistics:


Take Back the Night

April 10th

7:00pm (doors open at 6:30pm)

Rockwell Hall Performing Arts Center


Volunteer duties include:

•             Promotion and marketing

•             Coordinating materials prior to event (bag stuffing, etc)

•             Ushering

•             Set up

•             Clean up

•             Other duties as needed.

We need volunteers that also may need to meet community service requirements (fraternities, sororities) for help setting up before the event, and clean up April 14 Sunday from 1-4pm.  The April 9 meeting may be optional to attend.
