The Inter Greek Association (IGA) Task Force developed the Standards of Excellence to assist in the redesign and the restructuring of the Inter-Greek Association. These efforts resulted in the development of the Buffalo State Chapter Evaluation "Standards of Excellence". The Standards were established to recognize chapters that exhibit success in adhering to and promoting the principles of the Greek Community; while helping those chapters that need further assistance to set and achieve goals in order to increase the performance of their members and better align their organization with the mission, and vision of IGA and that of Buffalo State. In remaining consistent with the mission of IGA, the Standards of Excellence are meant to further the purpose of the Inter Greek Association to produce members who are active leaders on the campus, role models for other students, are academically successful and engaged in activities that contribute to the positive reputation of the college community. The Assistant Director of Student Life for Greek Life and Student Activities with the assistance of a committee comprised of IGA Task Force members and Greek Faculty/Staff Advisors will evaluate chapter standards for all recognized social/service fraternities and sororities during the fall semester.
