Greek Show Case Step & Stroll with Brandon and Molly
A quick review of last semester.
IGA worked diligently to promote the Men’s Hockey opener, co-sponsoring events on October 18th and 19th . On Game Day over 630 students tailgated with the members of the Inter Greek Association. In front of a record crowd of 1,619, junior goaltender Kevin Carr and the Buffalo State men’s hockey team posted a 3-0 victory over Division I Penn State University Friday night at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.

Alcohol Awareness Week
Buffalo State students learned a lot from mock field sobriety test offered by University Police, as WIVB Channel 4 reported Paula Madrigal, coordinator of health education programs, told reporter Bryan Shaw, "One of the things that we want students to be aware of is the personal responsibility that is involved when you chose to be involved in alcohol, whether it's going to a party with friends or drinking by yourself." University Police officers used goggles that simulated different alcohol levelsso that students could see for themselves how alcohol affected their behavior.

Anti-Hazing Week
During this week, Buffalo State students and Greek Letter organizations at large took part in efforts for anti-hazing. There were guest speakers, organizations competed in an anti-hazing poster competition, a case study competition, and more.

Community Service Day
On saturday October 13, Greek life spent an afternoon with family and friends as they serve together to celebrate the year of the City Family Volunteer Day is an event that is open to all students, faculty, staff, and their familes.
