The Robert A. Davis (RAD) Memorial Scholarship is designed for students enrolled in Buffalo State College’s Student Personnel Administration (SPA) graduate program.
The award is to be used to help offset the expenses of the recipient attending a national conference. Attendance related to Student Affairs or higher education at a national conference provides students with an opportunity to:
- Network with other professionals
- Meet prospective employers
- Develop professionally
Recipients will be expected to present at the Student Personnel Administration (SPA) Conference the following November. This is an opportunity to share your experience with fellow colleagues and future recipients.
This endowed scholarship is named in honor of Robert A. "Bobby" Davis. Bobby was the first serviceman from the Chester County, Pennsylvania area to die in the Vietnam War. After graduating from high school in 1960, Bobby was drafted to serve his country. He died as an American Hero in the infamous battle of Ia Drang, a battle that changed the war in Vietnam forever.
