The business and marketing education program is designed to develop, extend, and
enhance the professional competencies of business and marketing education teachers.
Completion of the program provides a master of science in education degree and satisfies the requirements for eligibility to apply for permanent/professional certification to teach business and marketing in New York State.

1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum
cumulative GPA of 2.5 (4.0 scale).
2. A New York State Certificate of Qualification (CQ), provisional certificate, or
initial certificate to teach business or distributive education.
