Department Staff In addition to our full time teaching faculty, we also have two full time staff members that help our department run smoothly. Diana McNerney does everything from organizing interview week and the department's many events to keeping track of our guest lecture program, conservation services program, and help faculty prepare for class; somehow she also manages to answer any and all questions of current and future students. Meredeth Lavelle assists the Chair with the department's many grants and budgets in addition to planning department events, designing our website and publications, and most important, helping the students to receive their stipends! |

Diana McNerney, Department Secretary Diana is a Buffalo State graduate and has been with our department since 1995. In 2002, she was the recipient of the President's Award for Excellence in Service to the College. This award seeks to recognize those individuals who perform extraordinary service to the college by consistently exhibiting excellence in the performance of their duties and making contributions to the college above and beyond their obligations. Former students and faculty sent dozens of letters of support for this award thanking her for her sincere dedication to the department. |

Meredeth Lavelle, Senior Staff Assistant Meredeth joined the department in spring 2002 as its first Senior Staff Assistant. She received her M.A. in Art History from the University of Buffalo and worked in the publications department of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery before coming to Buffalo State. Meredeth is also an adjunct professor at Niagara County Community College where she team teaches an Exploring the Arts class with her father. In the spring of 2004, she had an article published in Western New York Heritage Magazine on Buffalo's Parkside neighborhood and continues to research local architecture. |
