Course Planning
A Course Wheel, a document providing an outline of graduate course offerings is available for download (PDF, 64KB).
After the completion of 12 credit hours, students enrolled in the graduate program must submit a Graduate Program Candidacy Form (word.doc) to the department; students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Creativity and Change Leadership Program must submit the Graduate Certificate in Creativity and Change Leadership Program Candidacy Form (PDF, 2.73MB).
Some Things to Remember:
- Begin studies with a 500 level course (usually CRS559)
- The Creative Problem Solving strand of courses must be taken in the following sequence: CRS559, CRS610, CRS670, and CRS680 (note that CRS 680 is an elective)
- A minimum of 15 credit hours of your master's courses must be at or above the 600 level (33 credit hour program)
- CRS635 should be the final formal course in the program and 690/795 should be taken near the end of the program
- A thesis is 6 credit hours (registering 3 credits at a time). If you chose a thesis, we strongly suggest taking a research course as one of your electives
- Submit a candidacy form to the department after completion of at least six (6), but not more than twelve (12) credit hours
- If you wish to complete all of the formal courses in approximately one calendar year, you must begin your studies in the summer
- International applicants, please see the International Student Affairs Office for additional information
- If you are employed full-time, we recommend no more than two courses per semester
