Welcome to the New York State Drinking Driver Program at Buffalo State:
As educators in continuing professional studies, it will be our pleasure to work with you and help you successfully complete the New York State Drinking Driver Program (NYSDDP). The NYSDDP operates 2.0 - 2.5 hours per week, one day per week for a calendar period of 7 weeks. Our NYSDDP instructors have been involved with the NYSDDP for a number of years, and all of them are approved by the NYSDMV and are certified by the Prevention Research Institute who produced the Prime-for-Life instructional material you will be using during your 16 hours of informative study.
We recommend that you:
- bring a pen and note paper for your personal notes;
- arrive for class at least 15 minutes before its start time;
- do your best to attend every NYSDDP class as scheduled.
It is our sincerest hope that you will take to heart the research-based information that is passed on to you during your participation in the NYSDDP. If you have any questions about the NYSDDP, please do not hesitate to contact me personally.
All the best with your NYSDDP classes,
Joseph L. Brandy, Ph.D.
Director, NYSDDP at Buffalo State
