Commencement Headquarters
Commencement Headquarters is located in the Barnes and Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore in the Campbell Student Union. Here, you can register for Commencement; obtain your guest tickets; and purchase your cap, gown, hood, stole, tassel, announcements, diploma cover, and other graduation accessories.

2013 ceremony registration and ticket distribution begins with the Commencement Kickoff event on April 10, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. in the bookstore. This is a special one-day event to provide one-stop shopping for all your ceremony needs.
Following the event, Commencement Headquarters continues to be located in the bookstore during regular bookstore hours through May 10 for ticket distribution. Caps, gowns, hoods, and graduation accessories are available through Commencement day.
2013 Master's and C.A.S. Prices (sales tax included)
Master's degree candidates require hoods. The official colors for the velvet trim are:
M.A. - white
M.S.Ed. and M.P.S. - light blue
M.P.A. - peacock blue
M.S. - gold
Master's gown, cap, tassel unit: $57.60
Master's hood: $39.79
Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.) candidates require a stole. C.A.S. stole - $32.05

ONLY if you currently live out of town...
If you currently live out of town, you may order your cap and gown by completing the out-of-town cap and gown order card. Mail it with payment and your registration card to the Barnes and Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore, 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14222-1095. Orders must be received by April 20. You may request to have your academic regalia purchase sent to your home (add $7.95 for shipping and handling), or indicate that you will pick up your order in the bookstore when you are on campus for commencement.
Should you need assistance in obtaining your guest tickets because you currently live out of town (e.g., Syracuse, Long Island, Saratoga, out of state, etc.), you may contact the bookstore at (716) 878-5509 to make arrangements. Student teachers and other graduates, remember, the bookstore is open until 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and is also open on Saturdays 12-4 p.m., so you should not contact the bookstore to arrange for your tickets but should register for Commencement and obtain your guest tickets in person.
