On your mark, get set, go—sign up for the annual Buffalo State College Bengal 5K Run and Fun Walk. Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association’s Legacy Scholarship Fund. Legacy scholarships are awarded annually to Buffalo State students who are children and grandchildren of alumni.

Stop by the Buckham Campus School Lobby on Friday, March 14, from 5-7 pm, to pick up your race t-shirt, bib number, and race bag prior to the race. Free parking is available on the Buffalo State campus in Lot L.

Queen City Triple Crown
Queen City Triple Crown awards will be given at the Shoes for the Shelter race based on cumulative times earned through participation in the Chilly Challenge 5K on February 24, the Bengal 5K on March 15, and the Shoes for the Shelter 5K on April 6. Watch video.
Race Course
The 3.1 mile course (certified NY99007AM) is fast and flat. Roller blades, strollers, and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Timing
Champion Chip Timing by Score-This You’ll receive a computer chip on race day that corresponds to your race number. All chips will be removed by finish line volunteers. If you fail to return your chip you’ll be charged $30; chips available on race day only.
Parking
Free parking on the Buffalo State campus in Lot L. Go to directions, maps, and parking.
T-shirts
Race T-shirts given to the first 450 registrants.
Prizes
All registrants eligible to win fabulous door prizes!
Race Results
Same-day results will be posted during the post-race Bengal Brunch and available online at www.score-this.com and www.buffalorunners.com.
Group Discounts
Pre-register with ten or more students from your organization or team and receive a $2 discount per student and be eligible to win a special award for the student group (DOC, 220KB) with the largest number of participants. Pre-register with a team (DOC, 224KB) of ten or more Buffalo State faculty/staff members and receive a $2 discount and be eligible to win a special award for the faculty/staff team with the fastest overall time (based on the top five finishers).
Post-Race Bengal Brunch
A variety of food and refreshments will be served (we are known for our "popular" post-race celebration) and some fabulous door prizes will be given away! Family and friends can attend the brunch; $5 at the door.
Post-Post-Race Party at Mister Goodbar, 1100 Elmwood Avenue
- Mister Goodbar and Flying Bison Brewing Company (owned by Buffalo State graduate Tim Herzog, '81) have teamed up to sponsor a party following the Post-Race Bengal Brunch.
- Present a special "drink coupon" included in your race bag for "free beer" at Mister Goodbar, featuring Flying Bison Blizzard Bock (while supplies last).
- Must be 21 and over; Proper ID required.
- The post-post-race party starts at 11:30 a.m. and lasts until the beer is gone.

A variety of fun volunteer opportunities (DOC, 203KB) are available on race day; contact the Alumni Affairs Office.
